Wide M. Thomas is an immigration attorney committed to guiding individuals and families through the challenges of the U.S. legal system. Originally from Haiti, she immigrated to the United States at 21, taught herself English, and pursued her education with resilience and determination. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in American Law, an academic foundation that sharpened both her understanding of human behavior and her dedication to justice.

In law school, Wide distinguished herself as a strong advocate. While still learning English, she won an oral argument in her Legal Writing course and was elected to the board of the Moot Court Honor Society. In 2023, she competed in the William Daniel McGee National Moot Court intramural competition and later volunteered as a judge in several moot court and mock trial competitions. That same year, she also volunteered with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, reflecting her commitment to service and access to justice.

Wide began her legal career at the Law Offices of L. Marcius Joseph & Associates, where she worked extensively on immigration cases, including asylum, removal defense, and family-based petitions. She also gained experience in personal injury and criminal defense, handling matters such as traffic citations and DUIs. These experiences provided her with invaluable training and practical courtroom exposure early in her career.

Before becoming licensed, Wide also founded Legally Wide LLC, a consulting company where she assisted clients with immigration filings, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution. Building on that foundation, she launched The W. Thomas Law Firm, where she now focuses on immigration, criminal defense, and personal injury. She is particularly passionate about immigration law, using both her professional training and lived experience as an immigrant to ensure her clients’ voices are heard.

Fluent in English, Haitian Creole, and French, Wide bridges cultural and linguistic gaps for her clients. Her practice is rooted in advocacy, integrity, and compassion, guided by the belief that every client deserves fair representation and every immigrant deserves the chance to build a life of dignity and opportunity in the United States.
